A bit of history...
Twenty-five years ago Mrs. Bennett was hired at Clarion Limestone School. Upon being hired she was asked to start a choral group. The students had already tried out and were waiting for the verdict. With some planning, thinking, and organization, the original Clarion Limestone Sensations was formed. The first group consisted of twenty-seven members, which included nine guys, nine altos, and nine sopranos. Their first song, “Real Good Time Tonight,” took them two months to choreograph. After a while, with the original members of sensations, Mrs. Bennett realized she was graduating fifteen of the twenty-seven members. She realized that she needed to do something to recognize the leaving seniors. She thought of a show that would highlight the seniors by having them sing a solo, this started “Evening with the Sensations”. The first show approximately had one hundred attendants. “Twenty-two years and hundreds of Sensations alumni later, we are forty-six members strong and we have to hold ‘Evening with the Sensations’ two separate nights to accommodate all the people,” says Mrs. Bennett. It now only takes the Sensations a maximum of one week to have a song choreographed and looking good. Mrs. Bennett and her many Sensations members have a great time preparing, touring, and performing for their viewers.
