FEBRUARY 13, 2008

President Robert Sawyer called the Clarion-Limestone Area School District Board of School Directors committee meeting to order at 8:20 PM in the Clarion-Limestone Area High School cafeteria.

Members Present: Randy Alderton, Gene Smith, Fred Port, Bill Holabaugh, Mike Cyphert, Mark Angel, Robert Sawyer, John Hamilton

Members Absent: Molly Greenawalt

Administration Present: Theodore Pappas, Superintendent

Donna Smith, Board Secretary

News Representative Present: Lindsay Sturgeon; TRI-COUNTY SUNDAY

Faculty Present: None

Others Present: Gary Sproul, Sue Sproul, Karen Sturgeon

PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD

Parents, Gary & Sue Sproul addressed the vacant Head Boys’ Soccer Coaching Position and urged the board to find a replacement in a timely manner. They also addressed the present grading scale and asked the board to research and compare grading scales of other districts. Robert Sawyer assured the parents both items would be taken into consideration.

AGENDA REVIEWED

Mr. Pappas reviewed the agenda for the regular board meeting scheduled for Wednesday, February 20th. Items to note are the possible addition of an elective course, gas lease proposal and the re-roofing project.

ADJOURNMENT

The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 PM, on a motion made by Bill Holabaugh, seconded by Gene Smith, and affirmed by all.
