Assignments on Webpage

Parents often contact the guidence office with concerns about their childs' tests or homework. Many times, parents find out too late that their child has missed assignments, or did not study for an important test. The C-L webpage (www.clarion- limestoneschool.com) has expanded to include an ASSIGNMENTS section. If you visit the website, click on the ACADEMIC ASSIGNMENTS AND DEPARTMENT NEWS option on the left- hand side of the screen. under each academic department, there is a link to " assignments," and that will connect you to each teacher and his/her class.

MONEY FOR COLLEGE

There is a relatively new program called Upromise. It is very similar to the "cash back" programs offered by some credit card companies, except the cash back credit is applied to an account you establish specifically for your child's education (called a 529 account). Following is an excerpt from the Upromise website: Register your credit cards once with us and every time you use one of them at a participating company you'll get a percentage of your spending back into your Upromise Account - automatically. We protect your credit card information with strict security precautions and use the information only for posting rebates to your account. Apparently, the program sounded so impressive that PHEAA was initially skeptical that it was legitimate. However, after careful investigation, PHEAA now strongly endorses Upromise, and has even partnered with Upromise to help allow college graduates to pay back student loans. Savings can be substantial! If a family set up an account for a 10-year-old child, they could save almost $5,000 by the time the child entered college with just their normal spending! Visit www.upromise.com for additional information.
