Our class is currently participating in the Flat Stanley Project. Each student created their own Stanley and we will mail them across the U.S. to various families. Our hope is to learn all about the different states in which Stanley is visiting. Please help your child by sending Stanley along with the attached letter to a friend or relative that lives in a different state or country. If you do not know of anyone outside of Pennsylvania, send to anyone that you wish.

Hi. My name is Flat Stanley. I live in Strattanville, Pennsylvania at Clarion-Limestone Elementary School. My friends in Mrs. Grace’s second grade class just finished reading a story about me called Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown. The story tells all about the time I was crushed by a falling bulletin board. I have enjoyed many adventures since I became flat. Mrs. Grace’s class thought it would be fun to send me around the world and learn about all of the different places I visit!

Please send a letter, postcard, pictures, or anything else you can back to my friends at Clarion-Limestone to help them learn about where I am visiting. Take a picture with me doing something fun or in front of a special building. Be as creative as you can.

When I have had a chance to see the sights and visit with you, please send me, and this letter, on to someone else that you know will be a good “host family” for me to visit. Please make sure I don’t get lost in the mail. I am hoping to travel all over the United States and even to other countries.

If I am visiting you and it is May 1, 2007, or later, please send me back to my friends at Clarion-Limestone Elementary so I can finish the school year with my classmates.
